Argo Tea – The Apple of Tea

It’s about the tea café chain Argo Tea which was founded in June 2003 by Arsen Avakian.
Today, backed by Chicaco money, it’s the largest tea focused cafe chain.

The vision of Argo is to be the Apple of Tea:

“When I started Argo, I had the vision of being the Starbucks of tea, but in the last few years I realized that is no longer our inspiration,” he said. “Starbucks is more like PC—it’s old, less healthy and designed for everyone—and we want to be more like Mac: young, healthy, cool and a more unique, innovative brand.”

Tea Party in the Nude

Is it time to point out that the Emperor is nude, ”undress” the leaders of the Tea Party movement and call the poker “bluff” at the casino? Personally, I don’t think that the journalists of the mainstream media have figured out how to use social media in a proper way and they are clueless regarding fundamental ideas. Here is an opinionated excerpt from the article, GOP leaders must free themselves from the Tea Party’s grip, by opinion writer Eugene Joseph Dionne Junior:

The Tea Party lives in an intellectual bubble where the answers to every problem lie in books by F.A. Hayek, Glenn Beck or Ayn Rand. Rand’s anti-government writings, regarded by her followers as modern-day scripture — Rand, an atheist, would have bridled at that comparison — are particularly instructive. (The Washington Post, July 21, 2011.)

I am having a hard time to “read” the tea leaves and have a qualified guess if “Tea Partyers is planning to hold their ground” against the spending spree “or force others to spend,” and if that will “lead to a split of the Republican Party,” a.k.a the Grand Old Party. I must admit that I am not sure about the outcome at the moment, but I am pretty sure that the so-called “American Dream Movement” will not become “bigger than the Tea Party“…

I have to say that I am glad to see that today’s home towner of Boston (Tea Party) are pretty honest about paying for Honest Tea!

Could you guess how honest they are inside the Beltway, Washington D.C.? Would you have guessed that Chicago was named the most honest city in America?

As an endnote, did you know that the word “nu” is “nude” in French? In Swedish “nu” is “now”. Tea Party Nude / Now = TeaParty.nu! ;)
